Perlukah Berbangga- Bangga?

Salam to all readers,

Today's post is as usual, simple but of course, I will melalut a bit. Ok, let's get down to business.
I can see that our society is very2 proud of their ancestors. Everyone will be, so do I. There's no much problem of being "proud" of our lineage but it will be a problem when we are too much dependent and talking big to other people about it.

Let's say... there's a boy name Syed__ Bin Syed__ which clearly his lineage or his ancestors from Arabs-more precisely they are Prophet Muhammad lineage...or if someone's name started with Tengku something or Pangeran, they are clearly from the royalty or elites.

These people who brought their ancestors's name of course will be proud and because of that they need to protect and preserve their "blood" by marrying person with the same boat. Its fine.
But its very2 low when you are looking down other as well, because of your prestige and title. You are just lowering yourself.

You see, some other people who didn't have the "warisan" name doesn't mean that they are not from the good lineage, there are. But this people hide their names, not giving their son/daughter the prestige name, which they should carry because of some reasons.

I really don't understand why they like to talk big about this. Like, gosh, Malay people have undergone a complex and multicultural system since forever! During Malacca at its greatest era pun dah ade intermarriage la walaweii. I don't care if you are a pan-Asian or whatsoever. My ancestors pun mix jugak. Adoi.

And people don't care when you mention your bloodline is the mixture of Javanese and Bugis, or a mixture Minang and Java, because at the end, you will end up look like a Malay! Duh people, they only look at you when you got a striking features man! When your face is totally apparent with Arab look, or Paris Hilton nose, or Angelina's cat eye, or your brown hair, brown eyes, then people will recognize you as a mix cultured family. They will noted you. Think highly about you. Ok, not all, well , most likely will.

What I'm trying to say here is that, please..don't simply judge others buy their outer facade. Its not as simple as that to know the characters of others by just looking at their pretty and striking look. NO. Unless you are able and have the knowledge to read others personality by just looking at their face, then yes, maybe, only IF you can khatam the "Tajul Muluk" book. Haha. But, no, not all people able. First impression doesn't necessarily precise.

I hope that our society will be able to differentiate and re-think about this matter, don't talk big if you are coming from a good lineage, and don't forget your "duties" as a carrier of the name.
That's all guys :-)

p/s: My mom's great grandmother is a carrier of Syarifah name, but then my grandma(Minang blood) is given "Wan" name, and my mom is "Siti" and me. Nothing. Haha. my dad is Javanese(grandma). My grandpa(on my mom's side) has an Indian blood. So that's makes me a... Malay. Of course. I'm a pro- Malay dammit!!!
